Missile Warning System
SCD’s SWIR, MWIR and LWIR detectors are successfully used in Missile Warning Systems (MWS) to enable detection of attacking missiles. Recognizing the paramount importance of advanced missile warning systems and countermeasures for IR-guided missiles, SCD has innovated infrared detector technology across the entire spectrum to fulfill every MWS requirement.
Persistent Surveillance
SCD’s InSb and HOT detectors play a pivotal role in airborne payloads designed for sustained surveillance. These systems consistently monitor specified regions, offering valuable insights to decision-makers. They are perfectly suited for tactical surveillance in military, border, coastal, and energy domains, as well as for enhancing public safety.
Airborne Payloads
SCD’s comprehensive selection of both cooled and uncooled detectors are foundational in airborne surveillance payloads, serving a spectrum of air surveillance missions like IRST, Law Enforcement, Reconnaissance, and beyond. Drawing from a diverse array of SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR detectors, SCD’s products are adaptable to different airborne payload specifications—varying in size, weight, sensor categories, and objectives. Additionally, these detectors can be seamlessly integrated into a multitude of airborne platform designs.
Situational Awareness
SCD’s low SWaP detectors excel in situational awareness systems, proving invaluable for search and rescue missions. Their capacity to swiftly acquire information from hard-to-reach or hazardous locations significantly enhances the safety and speed of response efforts.. Thanks to the low weight, size and power of these detectors, SCD provides the ultimate solution for both, low SWaP and high-end systems used for situational awareness missions.
IR Search & Track
SCD’s cooled and uncooled detectors are used in search and track applications for detecting and tracking objects which emit infrared radiation. Unlike radars, infrared search and track systems (IRST) are totally passive and insensitive to jamming.
